Understand roles and permissions
ParmLedger uses role-based access so sensitive payroll and tax settings stay limited to admins, while employees can submit expenses and managers can approve within policy.
Common roles include Admin, Finance Manager, Approver, Payroll Operator, and Employee. Each role maps to a preset permission bundle you can refine.
Send invitations
Invitations are sent by email and expire after seven days. Resend from the team directory if a link expires.
- Go to Team → Members and click Invite member.
- Enter work email, display name, department, and assign a role.
- Optionally restrict visibility to specific cost centres or projects.
- Send the invite and track pending status from the Members table.
Onboard new users
Ask new users to complete profile details and connect notification preferences on first login. Managers should verify approval chains after bulk invites.
Tip
Import users in bulk via CSV from Team → Import when adding more than ten people at once.
